The day after Christmas...Christmas Day still to come...

We spent Christmas night at Kevin's Sister, Aubrey's house. The day after we went with her and her family to a pier in Seattle. It was a lot of fun. Here are some of the pictures I took.

Luke, enjoying a p,b&j and making funny faces, and just having fun.

Struggling to get her hat off.

Some pictures from the pier in Seattle where we had a pic-nic on the day after Christmas. It was such a nice day. We had so much fun. After this we walked through Seattle to a carousel for the kids to ride. I have no pictures of that though because my battery died. So sad.

Shelby is tired of hearing that she has to eat her sandwich before she can have the cheetos.
My Niece, Ava, dancing and skipping around. She is so pretty.

Shelby dancing and having fun in the sun.

Tempered Glass

So last week this is what happened to our car. The antenna mount for my radio shifted to just the wrong spot so when Heidi closed the trunk it pinched the bottom of the window and showed the magical effects of tempered glass. Thanks for the new window Geico.

Fun with Dad

This is something that Kevin and Luke do for fun. They are pretty good at doing tricks together. Luke will ask Kevin to do this over and over again. I have a bunch of other videos of them doing other tricks but for some reason this is the only one that would upload, so sorry, you only get to see one of them.

I took these from the street just outside our apartment complex.

Our Family Home Evening activity this past week.

Luke and Shelby were planning on helping me, but as soon as they felt the inside, they changed their minds.
So, I cleaned it out and Kevin did the carving.
Meet "Bunkin" our Jack-o-lantern. Shelby can't say pumpkin, she says bunkin.
Kevin and his fake smile.

I showed the kids "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" the other day and Luke has been saying this over and over ever since. I love it. It is hilarious!! In case you can't understand what he is saying though, he is saying, "You didn't tell me you were gonna kill it!! Awwww!!".

WA in the spring!! (I took these back in April)

I found one that is a little bit better. Better will come.
Another bush next to our porch.
Same tree, I love it!!! It really did look like pop corn!!
The tree across from our apartment
Some flowers on a bush next to our porch.
A not so clear view of Mt. Rainier. I will post a better one soon.

I love having a girl!!!

This was supposed to be a before and after thing, but I accidently uploaded the pictures in the wrong order. I did her hair all nice and cute on a Sunday morning, and this was the next morning. I just had to post this because it is so hilarious.

I need advice

So, Luke is getting older and is not quite content with just playing with toys all the time. This has sort of snuck up on me. I just realized that he is getting close to pre-school age, or maybe he is pre-school age. I don't remember how old I was when I went to pre-school. And I am not sure that I want to send him to a public preschool. Mostly because of how much it will probably cost and I think that a lot of might be stuff I could do with him at home. This is why I need advice. I need to know what kids learn in pre-school. Is it something I can do with him at home? If yes, what things do I need? What books, supplies, etc... So, if any of you have any information or suggestions for me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks guys!!

a "LITTLE" catching up to do

Ok, so it has been a long time since I added to my blog. Pretty much since Kevin came home. A lot has happened since then. We stayed with my parents for a few days, then went up to Zach and Dixie's house and then on up to Aimee and James' house. We had a great time visiting with everyone. We had never been up to Aimee's house before. WOW, the drive up that way is gorgeous!! I have a ton of pictures from that whole trip, but I can not post them because I lost the cord that connects my camera to my computer. I am so bummed. Anyway, from Aimee's house we headed over to WA. That was another beautiful drive. We have been here about a month and a half now. It has taken about that long to get settled in and for it to feel like home, but we have made our little apartment a home and we love it. I also have lots of pictures of us here that I will post when I can. Most of them are of Luke and Shelby, thus the name of my blog. Well, anyway, we are enjoying our new life in WA, we miss our family and friends so much and love you all very much. I hope you are all doing well, which from most of your blogs, I can see that you are. I'm so glad.
So, that's it for now. I will catch you up more later. Hopefully with pictures :)

Dad is home!

Shelby was so tired. They were up later than normal tonight. They were enjoying spending time with their Dad.
Kevin's flight came in at 10:00 yesterday night and this morning when the kids got up they were sooo excited to see him. It was a wonderful surprise for them. They have been having so much fun together today. I took these right before the kids went to bed. Luke was so happy to have his Dad there for his bed time routine. I think I am just not that exciting any more. It has been just me almost every night for the past 8 months. Luke is so excited that Kevin is home.

Oh, and so am I, I guess I figured that was a given, haha. Well, and I can't really express how I feel, so, I am just really excited he is home :)

Pig Tails for Sunday

I couldn't get a picture of her from behind of both the pig tails, but here is her right pig tail. We had just gotten home from church just this past Sunday and she went strait to her favorite spot in the house. An empty cupboard in Dixie's kitchen. She loves to shut herself in it.

Country Boy Luke

I think the hat is actually one of Dixie's girls, but he loves to wear it and they don't mind.
I love the country look on Luke. It fits his personality very well.

This is mostly for Kevin, but others might enjoy too. Kevin has been asking me to update my blog. He really wants to see pictures.

I hope you enjoy these sweetheart. We love you and miss you very much.

This is the best I could get of them in their Sunday clothes. Sorry sweetie, they don't sit still, especially on Sundays it seems, I wonder why...haha
It is hard to get a strait face from Shelby
